Maxsurf 1 + Maxsurf 2

Master vessel design and analysis with Maxsurf. This bundle combines Maxsurf 1 and Maxsurf 2, guiding you through the complete process—from building 3D hull models from a linesplan to designing vessels from scratch, performing advanced hydrostatic and stability analyses, and evaluating sailing performance. You’ll work with the core Maxsurf modules—Modeler, Stability, and VPP—learning to model, simulate, and validate a wide range of vessel types while applying key naval architecture and engineering concepts throughout.

What is a Bundle?

bundle is a collection of courses we have wrapped up for you based on criteria such as complementarity, reinforcement, and/or enlargement of the subjects covered in each one.

Bundles enable the development of different learning paths by bringing together courses relevant to a specific area of knowledge. With bundles, we can guide you more effectively on your journey.

What is included in this bundle?

This bundle gives you access to the following courses:

Maxsurf 1 introduces the fundamentals of vessel modeling with Maxsurf Modeler, the starting point for most design projects. Students will learn how to create 3D hull models from existing linesplans, perform parametric transformations, and model structural elements such as frames, decks, and reinforcements. Through two complete projects—a sharp-bilge Pilot Boat and a round-bilge Sailing Boat—they will master the process of building detailed, accurate hull geometries and interpreting the resulting data to validate their models.

Maxsurf 2 builds upon the skills developed in the first course and expands into advanced design and analysis. It covers three key modules—Modeler, Stability, and VPP—guiding students through vessel design from scratch, without a linesplan, and applying naval engineering principles throughout. Participants will perform a range of hydrostatic and stability analyses in Maxsurf Stability and evaluate sailing performance using Maxsurf VPP. By completing the course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of Maxsurf’s core applications and be able to model, simulate, and analyze complete vessel designs with confidence.
