About

Overview

I am an engineer specialized in offshore wind energy. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, in Italy, where I first studied fluid mechanics and explored various energy production methods. During this time, understood that I wanted to focus on wind energy, and this led me to the Netherlands, where I completed a Master’s in Sustainable Energy specializing in wind power. During this time, I undertook a 9-month thesis project focused on the aerodynamics of floating offshore wind turbines, which introduced me to this innovative technology.

Following my studies, I moved to Spain to continue working in offshore wind, and for a period I assessed site conditions for offshore wind farms, getting practical experience in industry. Today, I work for a company specializing in offshore engineering, where I’ve expanded my knowledge to include the naval engineering aspects of wind energy systems.

On this path, I have always tried to learn as much as possible on offshore wind. This fascinating field brings together many different disciplines, which may make it seem overwhelming to newcomers. This is why I am eager to help students, sharing what I have learnt so far on this platform.

Interests & Hobbies

I have always loved reading, especially fiction, though sometimes I now read non-fiction as well. In my free time, I regularly practice yoga, enjoy occasional trekking adventures, and I am trying to improve at drawing. Coding is another passion of mine—something I do both for work and as a hobby, exploring new projects and ideas for fun.
