Maxsurf is a world-class professional software for marine vessel analysis and design.
Navalapp PRO members and Navalapp STUDENT members enrolled in one or more courses may be eligible for a free Maxsurf Ultimate Academic Version License, subject to specific conditions (check section “Eligibility” below). The software includes the academic version of the modules Modeler, Stability, Motions, Resistance, VPP, Multiframe, and Shape Editor.
Eligibility
Navalapp PRO members and Navalapp STUDENT members enrolled in one or more courses may be eligible for a free Maxsurf Ultimate Academic Version License, subject to export control regulations.
Maxsurf is currently classified under Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) 8D992 as marine software with dual-use capabilities. As Maxsurf has been developed in the United States, its distribution is subject to applicable U.S. export control laws, regulations, and requirements.
Accordingly, access cannot be granted to persons or entities listed on applicable U.S. or E.U. restricted party lists, including certain sanctions and export control lists, or to persons who are nationals or residents of countries or regions subject to U.S. or E.U. embargoes.
As part of our compliance obligations, we are required to carry out a due diligence review before confirming eligibility. This may include requesting documentation to verify identity, nationality, and residence.
Before applying
If you are a Navalapp PRO member or a Navalapp STUDENT member enrolled in one or more courses and you are interested in downloading and using Maxsurf Ultimate Academic Version under our agreement with the vendor:
– Read the “Eligibility” section above.
– If you haven’t done so yet, please complete your Navalapp profile with your real identity: first name, last name, email, city, and country.
– Please ensure your profile’s email is your personal email (e.g., Yahoo, Gmail, etc.) and not one associated with a company or an academic organization.
– Please be aware that even if you are eligible, you will still have to accept the software’s license after installing it on your computer before being able to use it.
