Yacht Surveying 1 introduces the regulatory, technical, and practical foundations of yacht surveying. The course covers the role of maritime organizations and regulatory frameworks, different types of yacht surveys, construction materials, and the survey process, from preparation and safety considerations to inspection methods, documentation, and reporting.

Yacht Surveying 2 builds on these foundations with a practical, evidence-led approach to inspecting and assessing yacht condition. The course covers defect interpretation, risk assessment, structural elements, machinery, propulsion, onboard systems, sailing equipment, safety arrangements, and sea trials. Particular emphasis is placed on evaluating findings, recognizing inspection limitations, and developing clear, evidence-based conclusions and recommendations.

Together, these courses provide a comprehensive learning path covering the yacht surveying process, from understanding the profession and planning surveys to conducting technical inspections, assessing findings, and preparing reports.
