What is a Bundle?

A bundle is a collection of courses brought together based on their complementarity, reinforcement, and/or expansion of the subjects covered in each one.

Bundles help you develop different learning paths by combining courses relevant to a specific area of knowledge, guiding you through your learning journey.

What is included in this bundle?

This bundle gives you access to the following three courses:

• Yacht 3D Modeling with Rhino. Level 1
• Yacht 3D Modeling with Rhino. Level 2
• Yacht 3D Modeling with Rhino. Level 3 + Rendering with V-Ray

Level 1 – The Fundamentals

In Yacht 3D Modeling with Rhino. Level 1, you will learn to navigate the Rhinoceros interface, create and manage the basic geometries used in naval and yacht applications, and establish a consistent workflow for developing organized 3D models.

You will apply the concepts learned through the hands-on development of a daysailer boat 3D model, building the foundations to create your first designs.

Level 2 – Advanced Modeling Techniques

Building on Level 1, Yacht 3D Modeling with Rhino. Level 2 introduces advanced surface modeling techniques, continuity, and solid modeling tools.

You will learn to work with complex curves and surfaces, manage different continuity levels, and create seamless connections between geometries.

The course culminates in a final project: a 60-foot ocean sailing yacht, featuring a rounded bow, a bowsprit blended with the hull surfaces, and a deckhouse with recesses, protrusions, and rounded transitions.

Level 3 – Advanced Modeling and Rendering with V-Ray

In Yacht 3D Modeling with Rhino. Level 3 + Rendering with V-Ray, you will explore advanced modeling techniques and learn how to make repetitive processes more efficient through the creation and use of macros, including the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

You will also learn to create exterior renderings using V-Ray, working with materials, lighting, exposure, and camera settings to produce realistic images of your designs.

The course concludes with the development of a 60-foot flybridge multi-deck motor yacht. You will model its bow, main deck, transom, cockpit, and superstructure up to the flybridge, experimenting with different design variations and developing your personal style.

Together, these three courses cover the full Yacht 3D Modeling with Rhino series, from the software’s fundamentals to advanced modeling and rendering techniques.

Software License & Version

The three courses teach the software Rhinoceros (Rhino). Their content is valid for Rhino versions 8, 7, and 6. Students can follow the courses using any of these versions. Level 3 also teaches the rendering plugin V-Ray. Its content is valid for V-Ray versions 6 and 5.

The courses do not provide software licenses. Rhino offers a 90-day free full-version evaluation and discounts for students at state-accredited schools and faculties. V-Ray offers a 30-day free license, with monthly and annual licensing options available afterward.

Languages

• Level 1: Video lessons in English, with subtitles in English, Spanish (Español), and French (Français). Documentation in English.
• Level 2: Video lessons in English, with subtitles in English and French (Français). Documentation in English.
• Level 3 + Rendering with V-Ray: Video lessons with English captions and written materials in English.

Organization

The three courses are video-based and on-demand, allowing you to learn at your own pace and organize your studies according to your preferences and availability.

Each course includes video lessons, quizzes, downloadable materials, and assignments.

Enrolling in the bundle also gives you access to the individual courses’ virtual private classrooms, where you can interact with the instructor and fellow students.

Upon successfully completing each course, you will receive its corresponding Course Certificate. Each of the three courses issues its own certificate.

RINA Endorsement

All three courses included in this bundle have been individually endorsed by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Following a thorough evaluation, RINA determined that each course meets the Institution’s requirements for CPD and issued a Certificate of Endorsement.

The evaluation covered aspects including the courses’ learning objectives, content and structure, accuracy of information, supporting materials, instructor expertise, student evaluation methods, and Navalapp’s organizational standards.
