I am a Naval Architect with Ph.D. in mathematical engineering. I studied Naval architecture and marine engineering at the ETSIN (i.e. “Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Navales”), part of the “Universidad Politécnica de Madrid”. I devoted my master’s thesis to a steel cruising yacht. On the other hand, mi interest in simulation and mathematical modeling increased by the end of my career, so I later worked for two years in the development of a simulator for an X-ray telescope at the University of Alicante, to later start my Ph.D again in Madrid in Computational Fluid Dynamics methods. During the time I spend completing my Ph.D., I also had the occasion to teach at the naval architecture faculty. This teaching was related to ship stability, fluid dynamics and sailing yachts.

I consider sailing yachts the most beautiful gem among the different types of boats. The topic is captivating both from the point of view of experiencing sail navigation and from the perspective of the mathematical problem describing the sailing yacht. This is why I find Navalapp an exciting project.

I was involved in this amazing project which is Navalapp by September 2021. Since then, my interest in the project has done nothing but increase. I believe Navalapp offers an interesting forum for naval architects, sailors, and people passionate about sailing yachts, as well as provides high-quality content. My hope is to enhance these qualities by creating valuable content for Navalapp users.
